About Our Founder and CEO

Edward (Ed) Leydon is a successful PMO Leader, Coach, Mentor and Technical Director with over 20 years of Engineering and of Program Management experience.  Ed is the Founder and CEO of KNOW-THE-SCORE where he uses his extensive PMO leadership skills to help businesses manage critical initiatives. His work with KNOW-THE-SCORE also includes speaking, writing and blogging on PMO Best Practices, as well as coaching and mentoring other PM’s and future leaders. Ed is also the Technical Director for Intentional Science where he leads the development of products and services that promote Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Computing (STEM+C). His employment history includes key accomplishments as Staff Systems Engineer and Engineering Program Manager at Lockheed Martin and as PMO Director at Honeywell Aerospace.

​Ed has led successful enterprise-level PMO Deployments and has experience developing and presenting performance dashboards to executive (C-Level) leadership on $100M+ USD annual budget portfolio-program-project (P3) status related to cost, schedule, scope and resources. He has a passion for sharing his expertise and is a successful coach, trainer and mentor that focuses on best-in-class program management skills, processes and tools. He has worked on developing teams with training workshops in United States, Puerto Rico, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, China and India. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Bachelor of Science (BS) in Project Management, Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Engineering Technology, is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Design For Six Sigma (DFSS) Green Belt and has received many other awards and recognitions throughout his career.
